Police release CCTV image of man in connection with bag theft in Canterbury

A woman's bag was stolen while she was dining in a restaurant.

The bag, which contained her bank cards, was swiped while she was in Cafe Du Soleil in Pound Lane, Canterbury.

Police have now released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to.

Anyone with information, or who recognises the man in the image, is asked to call Kent Police

The incident took place between 8.10pm and 10.30pm on Thursday, February 2 and the bank card was then used in a supermarket in St Dunstan's Street later that evening.

Anyone with information, or who recognises the man in the image, should call police on 01843 222289 quoting reference ZY/4439/17.
