The warning begins at 1pm and is in place until 7pm.

Weather experts say there is a good chance driving conditions will be affected by spray, standing water and/or hail leading to longer journey times on the roads.

Delays to train services are also possible and there may be damage to buildings and structures due to lightning strikes.

There is also a warning in Kent for flooding today with those in Sittingbourne, Faversham, Isle of Sheppey, Dover and Dymchurch potentially being affected.

The Met Office and Environment Agency have issued a number of warnings as a precaution.

They recommend keeping an eye on local water levels and weather conditions, as well as signing up to text/email alerts.
