Police are appealing for witnesses to an alleged assault which left a store security guard with head injuries.
The employee was reportedly attacked outside a supermarket shop - believed to be Sainsbury's Local - in St Dunstan's Street, Canterbury.
He is said to have been involved in an altercation with another man before the incident, which also left him with injuries to his hand.
The alleged assault happened at about 2.15pm on July 29, but police are only now appealing publicly for witnesses.
A 22-year-old man from Canterbury has been arrested on suspicion of assault and released pending further enquiries.
Investigating officer PC Liam Milroy said: "While there has been an arrest and a number of enquiries carried out, we now believe there are witnesses to this incident who did not speak to officers at the scene.
"We are appealing for those people to come forward."
