Have you seen Noa? The chocolate labrador puppy has been missing for a week and her owners are desperate to get her back.

Four-month-old Noa was a Christmas present for 12-year-old May Fairclough who is devastated by the loss.

She vanished on Friday, January 30, after running off over the Stodmarsh nature reserve with the family’s older labrador, Archie.

He returned but there was no sign of Noa. A local resident later reported seeing her being led on a piece of string by a man who is thought to have been a bird watcher.

Jane Fairclough, of Stodmarsh Road, said: “I bought her for May as a Christmas present so it is particulary upsetting for her.

“Noa is adorable and we soon became very attached to her. But as every day passes, we fear we won’t see her again.”

May and her 14-year-old sister, Eve, who both attend Simon Langton Girls’ Grammar, have been anxiously waiting for any news but are becoming increasingly despondent.

Mrs Fairclough said: “Obviously, the cold weather has been a worry, but the fact that a witness saw her with a man suggests someone has her but doesn’t know who she belongs to.

“I have called the authorities but she hasn’t been handed in so we have made up a lot of posters with her picture which we have put up around the reserve.”
