Arrest after appeal

A MAN wanted by police for alleged sexual offences was arrested by police in Canterbury on Saturday.

An appeal to find Paul Bures was launched by Northumbria Police who issued a European arrest warrant and an appeal on the Crimestoppers Most Wanted website.

He was wanted in connection with numerous sexual assaults. The offences are alleged to have happened in Kent between 2006 and 2007.

When the appeal for his whereabouts was launched last week, Bures was said to have connections with Kent, Dorset and Hampshire.

Bures has now been returned to Northumbria Police and is due before North Tynside magistrates today.
