Police have made an arrest in connection with a terrifying alleged kidnap attempt in Canterbury.
The suspect was held after officers launched a manhunt for two men who approached a young woman in Wincheap.
The 21-year-old victim was walking along the A28 in Wincheap when a light blue Peugeot mounted the pavement in front of her.
One man is said to have got out of the car and tried to coax her to get in, before allegedly grabbing her and stealing money.
It was only when she shouted for help that he got back in the car and the pair fled in the direction of Thanington at 3.15pm on Monday, September 1.
In the aftermath, police launched an appeal for witnesses and released e-fits of two suspects.

A man has since been arrested and bailed in connection with the incident, which is being treated as an attempted kidnap.
DI Max Davidson said: "This is an unusual incident and we are keen to speak to anyone who might have witnessed it. We believe there were people nearby who saw and possibly heard the victim shouting.
"Officers are carrying out inquiries to establish the circumstances surrounding this incident."
Police have received calls and emails since launching the appeal, and are following a number of lines of enquiry.
