Arrests after table and chairs thrown in disturbance in High Street, Canterbury

Two 21-year-old men were arrested after a disturbance broke out in a high street which ended in bottles, chairs and a table being thrown about.

A shop window was broken and a 34-year-old man suffered cuts during the scuffle near where the High Street meets with Best Lane in Canterbury.

Police are appealing for witnesses after the incident, at around 5.50pm on Monday, March 27.

Both the men arrested on suspicion of assault have been bailed to return to the police station on May 13 as police make further enquiries.
