Four men have been arrested following a suspected murder.
Police were called to the Brotherhood Wood caravan site in Gate Hill behind the Gate Services on the A2 in Dunkirk, near Canterbury at around 7.05pm yesterday.
On arrival a man in his 20s was found with a serious chest injury and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Four men were arrested at the site on suspicion of murder. Three are aged in their 30s and the fourth is in his 20s.
They all remain in custody as inquiries continue.
Police were pictured back at the scene this morning.
Officers were parked up at the entrance to the caravan site, as well as close to the nearby Esso garage.
Several people at the scene told KentOnline that the victim had been stabbed, but this has not yet been verified by police.
A member of staff at the Esso, who asked not to be named, said someone from the caravan site came in and asked to use the phone to call police last night.
He said: "I've heard someone was stabbed during a dispute. Apparently it was all caught on CCTV at the site.
"I'm a bit concerned as it won't be good for our reputation. I don't feel unsafe at all because over the last 13 years nothing like this has happened."
A member of staff at nearby Sheila's Kitchen said: "My son in law was working at the time and had never seen so many police in one place before."
The A2 was closed in both directions as police investigate the suspected murder, but the road has now been reopened.
