The parents of a teenager killed in a road crash have spoken of their heartache at losing a loving, caring son.
Kyle Plommer, 19, died in a head-on collision on the A257 near Littlebourne on Monday. His older brother, Damien, 21, escaped serious injury.
The pair were travelling towards Canterbury in a Ford Fiesta which struck a Land Rover Discovery coming in the opposite direction.
Today, their parents Geoff and Diane Plommer, of Underwood Close, Canterbury, said sports-loving Kyle, a former pupil of Archbishop's School, was a special young man.
"He was kind, caring, generous and just liked to please everyone," said Mr Plommer, 52, who is a financial advisor.
"He was always smiling, telling us he loved us and would share anything he had.
"Even on the morning he died, he had texted me saying, 'Hi dad, going to meet Damien. See you later. Love you'."
Kyle was a rear seat passenger in the Fiesta which was being driven by a 30-year-old woman friend of Damien who was sat in the front.
He got out of the wreckage with cuts and bruises but she suffered serious injuries along with another 17-year-old friend of the brothers and they both remain in a London hospital.
A 42-year-old woman in the Land Rover was also hurt, but treated at a local hospital.
Mr Plommer said they learned of the tragedy with every parents' nightmare of a policeman knocking on their door.
"Instantly, you know something bad has happened," he said.
He said: "Damien was very close to his brother and he is obviously shell-shocked by what has happened.
"Our dog, Alfie, who Kyle doted on, also knows something is wrong and is not himself."
Kyle was a member of Littlebourne and Sturry Cricket Clubs and previously played for Street End colts. He was also an avid watcher of the game and supported Kent.
He played pool with his dad at the East Station Snooker Club where players held a minute's silence in his memory this week.
His cricket clubs have sent the family heartfelt messages of sympathy and support, as has his former primary school at Bridge.
"It was so thoughtful of the school to remember him after all this time," said Mr Plommer.
"We have been shown such kindness and support and would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and messages," said Mr Plommer. "It really is appreciated."
No date has yet been fixed for the funeral and the death is now being investigated by the coroner's office.
Officers from the serious collision investigation unit are continuing to appeal for witnesses to the crash, which happened shortly after midday.
