A man has been airlifted to hospital after a motorbike rider crashed into a parked car.

Emergency services were called to Knight Avenue in Canterbury at around 1.20pm today.

Witnesses reported seeing the air ambulance on the recreation ground near London Road.

Crews attended the scene and the rider, in his 20s, was taken to hospital in London for treatment.

His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening, a police spokesman said.

The ambulance service has been contacted for more information.
