A MOTORCYCLIST who died at the weekend when he crashed at a roundabout outside the Victoria Hotel in Canterbury has been identified.

He was Jason Willis, a 34-year-old chef, who lived at Tyler Hill, Canterbury.

Police said Mr Willis lost control of his Suzuki SV650 after clipping a roundabout in London Road shortly before 2.30am on Friday.

He was taken by ambulance to the Kent and Canterbury Hospital but pronounced dead on arrival.

Police are conducting an investigation into the tragedy and an inquest will be held.

No other vehicles are thought to have been involved but witnesses are being asked to call PC Phil Stevens on 01227 762055.
