A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital following a crash.

Emergency services were called to the scene shortly before 9.30am in New Dover Road, Canterbury, after the collision involving a van and motorbike.

An ambulance service spokesman said: "The female motorcyclist was assessed and treated at the scene before being take to William Harvey Hospital in Ashford."

The incident sparked long traffic delays in Canterbury, with water main repair works already causing congestion in the area.
