A man in his 20s has been found dead in woodland following an overnight search last almost eight hours.
The police helicopter and specialist rescue teams were called to Canterbury after the man was reported missing at 10pm last night.
His body was tragically found in Old Park - a popular beauty spot behind Dickens Avenue - at about 5.30am.
The area was taped off by police, with patrol cars and forensics teams remaining at the scene this morning.
Kent Search and Rescue Volunteers also joined the search, along with the National Police Air Service.
Police say the man was pronounced dead at the scene and his next of kin have been informed.
His death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
