Staff had to search Canterbury Christ Church University following a suspected bomb hoax.
Police are investigating reports of a “malicious communication” which was sent to the site earlier today.
The threat was reported to them at about 9.50am and inquiries are ongoing.
It’s believed an email was sent to the university saying a bomb had been placed in one of the campuses.
Searches of the university were carried out by security staff and police provided them with safety advice.
A university spokesman said: “We are following our normal procedures and liaising with the local police.
“We have not needed to evacuate any of our buildings.”
