A Boots store in Canterbury is closing down.
The city currently has four branches of the chain - in Wincheap, Whitefriars, Oaten Hill, and St George's Centre. The latter three are within half-a-mile of one another.
But the pharmacy giant has confirmed it is closing its St George's Centre branch, situated opposite Waitrose.
Signs in the shop window says the store will shut on March 21.
A Boots UK spokesman said: "We continually review our store locations to make sure they are where our customers need us most.
"We can confirm that we have plans to close our store St George’s Centre in Canterbury, and this is expected to happen later this year.
"We have another store on Oaten Hill which is approximately five minutes’ walk away.
"The store team have been made aware of the plans and will be offered jobs at nearby Boots stores in the case of closure."
Boots announced plans to shut 200 under-performing outlets across the nation back in June, although details of which stores would be affected were not released at the time.
Boots is one of the largest retailers across the UK and Ireland - with 2,500 shops ranging from local pharmacies to large health and beauty shops.
