A police dog was called in to help track down a man wanted in connection with an attack on a woman.
Officers were called to Salisbury Road, Canterbury, at 11.10pm on Tuesday, following reports of an assault at a city centre home.
With the help of a police dog called Borris, they searched the area for a weapon reportedly used in the assault.
However, the highly-trained dog instead discovered a man hiding in bushes close by.
A spokesman for the force said: "A 24-year-old man was located nearby and arrested on suspicion of assault."
He remains in custody this morning as enquiries continues.
