A 16-year-old boy has been charged with false imprisonment with intent to commit rape following an alleged attack on a woman in Canterbury.
The teenager from Folkestone was arrested following the incident in the early hours of Saturday morning.
It was reported the woman was walking home from a friend’s house at 4.20am when the alleged offence took place at the junction of Forty Acres Road and Whitstable Road.
A 16-year-old from Folkestone was later arrested and questioned by detectives.
He was charged with attempted sexual assault and false imprisonment with intent to commit rape.
He appeared at Folkestone Youth Court today and was remanded in custody until October 3.
