Boy hit by car suffers leg injuries

AN EIGHT-year-old boy was taken to hospital when he was struck by a car in a Kent city this morning.

The incident took place shortly before 9am in Spring Lane, Canterbury. Police say it is thought he was clipped by the car's wing mirror and knocked to the ground.

He was taken to the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford with leg injuries.

The car is understood to have been being driven by a woman from the Maidstone area.
