Sugababes and James Morrison will perform at Kent County Cricket Club's St Lawrence ground in Canterbury this summer.

The UK’s most successful girl group will appear on Friday, June 26, while 2006’s biggest-selling British solo artist Morrison will play on Saturday, June 27.

Kent's director of operations Jon Fordham said: "We are delighted to beat off a whole host of competition to bring you two fantastic musical acts.

"James’s reputation as a must-see live performer ensures he will bring a great following, while Sugababes are a show-stopping live act and they too will prove really popular. "

Malcolm Spencer, from Squareleg Entertainment Ltd, which helped arrange the concerts, added: "The St Lawrence Ground is a fantastic setting for a music concert.

"I fully expect both nights to sell out. It's not often you get two massive acts playing in the highly picturesque county of Kent, so I am confident that people of all ages will support and attend these events."

The twin concert comes after the success of the sell-out Elton John concert in June 2006.
