A pop star who has sold 100 million albums worldwide is coming to Kent to perform an open-air concert in front of thousands of people.
Canadian singer Bryan Adams takes to the stage at Kent Cricket Club's Spitfire Ground St Lawrence in Canterbury, as part of a 10-date nationwide tour.
Billed as an opportunity to celebrate the vocalist's most popular songs at one country's most picturesque arenas, the gig will take place on July 8.
The booking of the rocker is the second major coup in recent months for the cricket club, after it announced in October that Michael Bublé will perform at the ground next summer.
Promoters AGE Presents said: "Multi-million selling recording artist Bryan Adams is coming to the UK next summer with a spectacular open-air tour set in the grounds of some of the UK’s most beautiful venues.
"Enjoy a live performance from one of the world’s best selling artists in summer 2021, taking in an open-air show set against stunning, picturesque backdrops."
The news comes after Spitfire Ground bosses announced that it lost £2 million in revenue over the summer, with the cancellation of cricket matches, conferences and money-spinning concerts, including Little Mix.
It has already staged performance by a long list of big-name stars, including Elton John, Simply Red, UB40, Sir Tom Jones and Steps.
Grammy award-winning Adams is expected to perform some of his best-known tunes, including Summer of '69, Heaven and (Everything I Do) I Do For You.
Tickets for the tour go on sale at 10am on Friday, December 11.
