Burglars attack victim with screwdriver and steal safe in Canterbury

A person has been attacked with a screwdriver during a violent burglary in Canterbury.

Police say three people assaulted the vulnerable victim while stealing a safe from their home on Milton Close between approximately 5.30pm and 5.50pm on Friday, November 13.

The victim was knocked to the floor during the assault and was hit twice on the head.

The safe was found dumped near Dunkirk, Faversham, early this morning.

The first suspect is described as 5 feet 10 inches tall with dark hair and was wearing a black mask, black hooded top covering his head, black trousers and black trainers.

A second suspect was in his mid-30s, dark haired, and was wearing a black jumper and black trousers.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Kent Police on 101, quoting crime reference 13-1098.
