A heartbroken friend of terminally ill Kayleigh Duff was left stunned after she was hit with a Twitter ban for asking celebrities to support the dying mum.
Lisa Holness, 23, had her account suspended on the social media site for tweeting up to 40 stars each day.
The messages were sent in an attempt to raise awareness of 23-year-old Kayleigh’s battle with cancer following the recent crushing news that she has a brain tumour as well.
Lisa said: “I was suspended for breaching the terms and conditions of not sending so many tweets at one time.
“I felt a bit angry and upset, because I think that if they saw what I was sending then they would have realised that it was for Kayleigh.
“I was disheartened and had to wait 24 hours to be able to start all over again, which I think was a bit harsh. It’s not as if I was stalking anyone.
“I’ve sent tweets to people such as Sharon Osbourne, Nicole Scherzinger and the cast of The Only Way is Essex.
“We’ve had responses and support from people like Elliott Wright from Towie, Kerry Katona and Wayne Lineker, also from Towie [brother of footballer Gary].
“We don’t want money from them, we’re just hoping for support so we can fulfil Kayleigh’s wishes.”
She aims to support Kayleigh, who has drawn up a bucket list of experiences she’d like to have.
Last year she was able to go to Disneyland in Florida with her two-year-old son Kai, had a hen party and then became a bride so that her mum could see her in a wedding dress. She also had a dinner date with Hollywood star Tom Hardy.
But Kayleigh, who suffers from a rare liver cancer, was told by doctors before Christmas that she also has a brain tumour.

After the diagnosis she has undergone further radiotherapy treatment during the festive period and is now expecting results of a scan in mid January.
Lisa, who has known Kayleigh for eight years, said: “Kayleigh deserves the experiences. She would love to live like a celebrity for a day to see how they live their life.
“We’ve so far managed to fulfil every wish on her bucket list last year. So we’re aiming to do it again.
“It’s hard to arrange things as we don’t know how she will be each day. We’re against a ticking time bomb.”
