Canterbury banished the memory of their opening-day defeat with a ruthless second-half performance in a 74-15 victory over Barking in National 2 South.
The city club led by 12 points at the break before a burst of three tries in seven minutes took the game away from the visitors, who were in disarray by full-time.
A 70-metre try by Mike Melford (pictured) and touchdowns from Scott Browne, Jim Green and Peter Kelly opened up a 27-15 cushion at the turnaround.
Wim Baars sparked the second-half slaughter with a pushover try, followed by rapid blows from Aiden Moss and Juan Del Val.
Barking fell apart as Kelly, Del Val and Sam Rogers scored almost at will, while Browne took his conversion tally to six.
