Pinpoint goal kicking by Phil Gibson was the highlight of Canterbury's 23-13 win at Barnes in National League 2 South on Saturday.
The full-back contributed 13 points with two penalties, two conversions and a last-minute drop goal as Canterbury came from behind three times on their way to a third successive win.
Gibson also played a part in centre Ben Thomas’ opening try, with winger Michael Melford adding the other 10 minutes from the end.
Canterbury lived dangerously at times in the first half, with handling errors and poor ball retention not helping their cause, but work rate and patience after half-time paid dividends.
The victory leaves them fifth in the table, and they have a free weekend this week.
