Canterbury Hockey Club continue their bid for places in the super-sixes National Indoor Premier Division finals this weekend.
EuroCanterbury Ladies head back to Worcester top of the table and defending an unbeaten record after winning their opening four games last month, while the men start in fifth place at Bristol.
Ladies player-coach Mel Clewlow said: "The draw was heavily weighted towards this second weekend, which is much tougher, and against teams who play indoors fairly regularly."
Canterbury are without top scorer Susie Rowe, who is on duty with England’s women cricketers in Australia, while Susannah Townsend is unavailable.
King’s School pupil Eliza Brett is playing in the National Indoor Schools finals, so Kirsty Chambers is added to the squad.
Canterbury men were involved in two high-scoring games last month, drawing 7-7 with Surbiton and then 10-10 against Bowdon.
Skipper Michael Farrer said: "The results were disappointing because we led in both games, so now we have got three must-win games against Loughborough Students, Reading and St Albans."
Stewart Keir joins the squad while South African Matt Botha is available after spending Christmas at home.
Club captain Matt Harper has flu.
