Canterbury Ladies hope it will be third time lucky when they travel to Nottingham this weekend to compete in the National Indoor Hockey Championships finals night at Trent FM Arena.
The event has a new home after being held at the NIA in Birmingham for the past four years.
They play Leicester in the first semi- final on Saturday night (6.50pm), with Slough facing Bowdon Hightown in the other (8pm). The final, which is due to be screened live on Sky TV takes place on Sunday at 4.10pm.
Canterbury’s Mel Clewlow (pictured) said: "We have made the final twice before, but lost on both occasions. I think any one of the four teams involved are capable of winning it this year, and we are extremely pleased to be there again."
Canterbury travel with a strong squad, which includes Nikki Triggs, a former 1st team regular who now turns out for the 2nds.
Clewlow said: "Nikki made herself available for the first weekend, and absolutely loves playing indoors.
"It’s a game made for her, she is really motivated and very enthusiastic, the perfect team player."
