Canterbury men's hockey team were bounced out of the English Knockout Cup third round on Saturday when they lost 3-2 at Fareham.

Trailing 1-0 at half-time to a Craig Peel goal from a penalty corner, Canterbury equalised on 45 minutes through a penalty corner from Richard Kier.

Ben Hibberd's penalty corner strike then put the EHL Men's Conference West side back in front after 63 minutes, only for Canterbury to draw level again a minute later through another Kier penalty corner.

However, the Hampshire side booked their place in the next round with a 69th-minute goal from Shaun Baker.
