Seven cars parked in Canterbury were targeted over the weekend during a break-in spree.
Opportunistic city thieves made off with valuable items including a sat nav, a tablet, and quantities of cash.
As a result, police have issued advice to vehicle owners on keeping items out of view.
Wiping away satnav suction marks windscreens is one of the tips issued by officers.
Securing items in boots, parking in well-lit locations and setting the alarm are other bits of police advice
Sergeant Colette Todd said: "Thieves who steal from parked cars are opportunistic in nature and tend to strike when items are left clearly visible.
"I would therefore encourage car owners to ensure they keep their vehicles locked and secure at all times, and to ensure any valuables are not left on display."
Officers are investigating the Canterbury break-ins.
