The cause of a car fire that had been left ablaze in a country road is not yet known.

Canterbury firefighters were called to Woodlands Road in Adisham at 1am today to reports a car was well alight.

They spent an hour tackling the flames of a Mitsubishi Shogun.

The owner of the vehicle was not present.

Watch manager Mark Jones said that the fire is under investigation and the police have been made aware.
