Residents were rattled when a car flipped onto its roof in North Lane in Canterbury - in a crash that "looked like a Hollywood scene".
Diego Soncin, who lives in North Lane, was woken up by the smash in the early hours of this morning.
"There was this massive noise. I thought it was someone throwing bins in the road," the 33-year-old said.
"I went to my window and it looked like a Hollywood scene - the car was upside down with the wheels in the air. There was a lot of smoke coming out."
Mr Soncin said two police cars, two fire engines and an ambulance arrived at the scene.
Police said it received a report of a single-vehicle collision at 12.32am today.
Officers attended the scene in North Lane, Canterbury, where a 26-year old man was reported for driving a vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence.
