A car has overturned and has been left upside down in a ditch this afternoon.

The vehicle ended up on its roof down an embankment next to Bekesbourne Lane, Canterbury.

Kent Police Canterbury tweeted this picture of the car and said no one was injured in the incident.

A warning was also issued by officers who advised people to drive to conditions on the road as it is very wet today.

Bekesbourne Lane was blocked for a short time because of the incident, but is now fully reopened in both directions.

The accident happened on the stretch of between the A257 Littlebourne Road Canterbury and Station Road, Bekesbourne.
