A pair had a lucky escape after their car smashed through a barrier and plunged 30ft off a flyover.
The car, with a male driver and female passenger, landed on its roof after careering off the A2 dual carriageway.
Emergency crews descended on the A2 after a car plunged 30ft off a flyover and onto a cycle path.

The vehicle, carrying the man and woman, careered through a barrier on the dual carriageway near Wincheap, Canterbury, at around 11.30am.
An air ambulance landed in a nearby field and both casualties were treated at the scene before being taken to hospital.
The man is thought to have got himself out of the car while the woman had to be freed by firefighters.
She suffered head, arm and leg injuries and was flown to the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford. The man was taken by road.
At 5pm, one lane was still closed on the A2 west-bound between the A28 Wincheap and the Harbledown Bypass.
The A2 westbound entry slip road at the A28 Wincheap has now reopened, but drivers are warned to expect delays in the area.
Sean Vincent, 25, was returning from Morrisons to his home in Merchants Way when he heard a huge bang.
He said: "I thought something had come off the back of a lorry and then I saw smoke and just ran straight over to see if anyone was hurt.
"It was shocking, there was petrol around the car and the engine had come out.
"There was just me and a jogger at the scene at the scene.
"The driver got out the car and there was a woman in the passenger seat who was trapped.
"The emergency services arrived within five minutes."
Walker Derek Robertson, 70, came across the scene as he used the footpath though the marshes.
He said: "It looked really nasty and for those people to come away with only minor injuries is very lucky."
The flyover runs over the Great Stour Way cycle and walking path at Hambrook Marshes, 200 yards from the Wincheap junction.
