A car has smashed into a house in Sturry.
The black Skoda Fabia Estate swerved off the road and ploughed into the front of the cottage in the High Street.
No one is thought to have been home at the time of the crash.
A man in his 80s was checked over by paramedics, but no injuries have been reported.
There is severe damage to the building, and a structural engineer is due to attend.
A police spokesman said: "Kent Police was called at 10.46am about a car that had crashed into a flat. No one was injured. The vehicle is due to be recovered soon."
The car has now been taken away by a low loader, leaving a hole in the house.
