Police hunting thugs who left a man with a broken jaw after an assault in Canterbury have arrested five men.
Officers were called at 4.35pm on Saturday, September 27 to reports of a man in his 40s being assaulted outside a shop in High Street, Canterbury.
The victim suffered a broken jaw and needed hospital treatment.
The men were arrested last night (Friday) on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and are as follows:
- A 35 year old man from Bexleyheath.
- A 38 year old man from Charlton, London.
- A 39 year old man from Charlton, London.
- A 46 year old man from Greenwich.
- A 35 year old from London.
All five are currently in police custody but police are now looking for a sixth man in connection with the same incident.

Senior investigating officer, Detective Inspector Max Davidson said: "This was a serious, unprovoked assault and we have been working closely with the victim to ensure he is kept up to date with the investigation as it progresses.
"The incident took place on a busy Saturday afternoon when there were a lot of people in the area and we want to thank those who have already spoken to officers.
"It is believed several men could have travelled in to Canterbury via train from the London area.
"We have carried out a number of enquiries which included reviewing a large amount of CCTV recently obtained and as a result have been working with neighbouring police forces.
‘My officers would like to speak to the man pictured to help us with our investigation and I would urge anyone who knows who he is to call us as soon as possible."
