Drivers parked in Chaucer Road, Canterbury, get parking fines

Many of us have been slapped with a parking ticket at some point.

But those parking on a double yellow line-marked road right between Canterbury Crown Court and the city council offices should arguably know better.

A photo has emerged, showing at least 10 vehicles in a row parked at the end of Chaucer Road, Canterbury, every one of which is exhibiting a freshly issued penalty charge notice.

The picture was taken by a local mum, who captured the sorry sight while picking up her daughter from nursery at about 11.45am today.
