CANTERBURY Festival, a fortnight-long feast of music, arts and culture, starts on Saturday with a grand parade.
About 300 people are expected to take part in the opening procession,which is a celebration of some of the different cultures to be found in the area.
Over the fortnight a huge variety of events can be enjoyed, including classical, jazz and world music, drama, art, walks, comedy and films.
