A brother of double killer Brett Clifton is facing jail after being convicted of kidnap, threats to kill and false imprisonment.
Floyd Clifton, who was previously locked up for an offence involving a devil mask, was remanded in custody to assess dangerousness.
The 24-year-old thug, of Beckett Street, Faversham, denied the offences committed in two separate incidents, simply claiming they did not happen.
Maidstone Crown Court heard how Clifton went to the home of shop owner Jason Waldron late at night and threatened to shoot him and his girlfriend Tracey West.
Mr Waldron, who lost an arm in an industrial accident, was then kidnapped by Clifton, whom he described as pure evil.
Weeping in the witness box, he told how Clifton woke him and his girlfriend Tracey West at their Faversham home on June 13 last year.
“I kept thinking how big he was and with one arm I didn’t stand a hope in hell,” Mr Waldron told the jury.
“I have been through a few things in my life but that was one of the scariest things that has ever happened to me.
“I’m defenceless, my girlfriend is crying, I have got kids upstairs and he is saying he is going to shoot us.”
Deepak Kapur, prosecuting, said Clifton was venting his anger over a row with Mr Waldron about the use of his car.
Mr Waldron, who owns The Toy Box in Preston Street, had let Clifton borrow the car for 10 minutes, but he disappeared with it for five days.
When he eventually found it Clifton refused to hand over the keys. As they argued another man intervened.
He and Clifton tussled before the keys were recovered.
“You may feel that as a result, Floyd Clifton felt humiliated and that humiliation festered,” Mr Kapur told jurors.
Clifton drove Mr Waldron to Herne Bay to look for the other man. He eventually managed to escape and call the police.
Clifton denied kidnap and two charges of making threats to kill. He also denied two charges of falsely imprisoning Linda McCollum and her daughter Megan between May and July last year.
Judge Jeremy Gold QC adjourned sentence to a date after June 13.
