VIVIENNE Spratt, the chairman of Littlebourne Parish Council, has visited Buckingham Palace to receive her MBE.
She travelled to London with her husband Howard and received the award from Prince Charles.
And Viv received the award on the same day actress Catherine Zeta-Jones and husband Michael Douglas were at the palace because she was receiving a CBE.
Cllr Spratt received her MBE for services to the Littlebourne community and her fund-raising work for breast cancer.
She said: “Receiving this award is such an honour – I still can’t believe it.
“Catherine Zeta-Jones and her family looked absolutely lovely. She was a very gracious lady, sharing her time with the other recipients.”
