A SECURITY guard was bound and gagged by a gang who grabbed him as he patrolled the Fenwick store construction site in Canterbury.
The 35-year-old guard was attacked in the early hours of Saturday by two intruders who tied him to a chair and stuck tape over his mouth.
The men are thought to have been accompanied by two others and took a computer from an office which was later found abandoned outside the site. The guard was left tied to the chair for three hours before workers, arriving at 6.30am, and released him.
He was taken to hospital suffering from shock and the effects of cold but was otherwise unhurt.
He says that one of his attackers was of Eastern European origin. Police want to hear from anyone who may have been in the city between 3am and 4am and saw something suspicious in St George's Street.
Anyone with information should call detectives on 01227 817154 or Crimestoppers in confidence in 0800 555 111.
