Courageous campaigner Nicole Dryburgh, who battled with cancer for 10 years and dedicated her life to raising money for charity, has died.

The 21-year-old from Seasalter passed away suddenly on Sunday after suffering a brain haemorrhage.

A former columnist with the Kentish Gazette newspaper, part of the KM Group, Nicole was left both blind and deaf by the disease but wrote two books and launched her own website and charity in a bid to raise £100,000 for the Teenage Cancer Trust.

She won numerous awards, including a Try Angle Award , Diana Award, Britain’s Most Inspirational Fundraiser award and a Ward and Partners Children’s Award.
