There is heavy traffic on a commuter route following a crash involving two vehicles this morning.
An ambulance is at the scene on the A2 in Canterbury and traffic is building as the vehicles are recovered.
Vehicles travelling on the A2 eastbound were stopped as an ambulance arrived just before 8.30am.
The crash happened on the A2050 near Canterbury East and Bridge.
A motorist stuck in the traffic told KentOnline they had been stationary for about 15 minutes before the ambulance arrived at Dover Road.
"Traffic is moving slowly," they said.
"One of the cars is missing it’s back left wheel and is stuck in the barrier, the other went on the grass verge on the other side of the road."
A police spokesman said officers received a report of a collision involving two vehicles at 7.43am.
"Officers are attending the scene on the coastbound A2 near Bishopsbourne," they said.
"Motorists are advised there may be delays while vehicles are being recovered."
An ambulance spokesperson said crews were called at approximately 7.45am and one person was taken to the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford after being assessed and treated at the scene.
