Traffic is getting back to normal after a serious crash closed a section of the M2 this morning.
A man was airlifted to hospital after the two-vehicle smash on the coast-bound stretch between J6 for Faversham and J7 for the A299 Thanet Way.
Kent Police said it involved a black Ford Transit van and white Renault lorry at just after 6am.
Crews from Kent Fire and Rescue Service used hydraulic cutting equipment to free a trapped man.
Paramedics from the air ambulance gave a blood transfusion at the roadside.
He has now been flown to the Royal London Hospital with serious injuries after the air ambulance landed on the carriageway.
Another man was taken to the Royal London Hospital with minor injuries.
Drivers suffered long delays as the coast-bound carriageway was closed for accident investigation work to be carried out.
Diversions were in place until the road was expected to be fully re-opened by around midday.
