A blaze caused by the embers of a nearby bonfire ripped through a horse box and trailer.
Crews were called to the scene in Well Lane, near Fordwich in Canterbury, just after 6.35pm yesterday.
They battled the fire for 45 minutes before extinguishing the flames.
No casualties were reported.
Following the blaze, a fire service spokesman has issued a series of safety tips to those wishing to light a bonfire.
He said: "Build your bonfire well clear of buildings, garden sheds, outdoor structures, fences, hedges and over-hanging branches.
"Keep bonfires to a manageable size and evenly built, so they collapse inwards as they burn.
"Never leave burning bonfires unattended.
"Make sure the fire is out before leaving."
