Crews tackle fire at flat in Petros Court, Canterbury

Firefighters have tackled a fire in a third floor flat this evening.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to the blaze in Petros Court, near the A28 in Canterbury.

All occupants of the building were safely evacuated and no one was injured.

Three fire engines and a height vehicle were sent to the scene at about 7pm.

Crews wearing breathing apparatus entered the building to tackle the flames.

A large van helped crews to ventilate the apartment of smoke.

Crews spent about a hour-and-a-half at the scene.
