Cyclist injured in road crash

A CYCLIST was injured when his bicycle and a car were in collision in a Kent town.

The 29-year-old man received a non-life threatening head injury when the collision occurred in London Road, Canterbury, just after 7pm on Saturday.

Police had to close the road at the junction with Temple Road whilst ambulance staff attended to the injured cyclist and took him to the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford for treatment.

The driver of the car, a Renault Clio, was not injured.
