Traffic is slow on the A2 between Faversham and Canterbury, after a crash involving two cars.
Police were called to the London-bound carriageway at 1.30pm, to reports that a silver Renault Clio had collided with a silver Vauxhall Astra.
Paramedics were also called, who arrived in a car and an ambulance.
They treated the woman driver of the Astra, who had suffered neck and chest injuries, before taking her to the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford.
Officers are helping with traffic management, and directing cars at Brenley Corner onto the slip road to avoid the crash scene.
