A crowdfunding appeal has been set up in memory of a mum who tragically died just 19 days after giving birth.
Kim Sampson, 29, left behind a three-year-old daughter, Jasmine, and newborn baby Albie.
She died in King's College Hospital following complications after an emergency caesarean at Margate's QEQM Hospital on May 3.
The former Archbishop's pupil was rushed to King's College Hospital in London, but died on Tuesday morning.
The appeal to raise £6,000 to provide support for her young children was set up by a family friend.
It has already attracted more than 60 donations, totalling almost £1,500.
The hairdresser, who worked at Len’s Barbers in Whitstable, lived in the town's Newton Road with her parents Yvette and Louis.
Her heartbroken mother, who works in Sainsbury’s in Chestfield, says everyone is in shock at Kim’s sudden death.
She said: “She was very fit and healthy. We are devastated and want to know what happened.”
The family is hoping a post-mortem examination and possibly an inquest will shed some light into her death.
