Keepers at Wildwood Trust have come to the rescue of two eagle owl chicks after their mum couldn’t look after them.
Cali Bebbington and Christine Reed have adopted the rather peculiar looking pair, who have already been described as goblin-like.
But as the saying goes, never judge a book by its cover and Cali says they’ve become a huge hit with park staff.
She said: "They’re very cute and at first I was very worried and kept checking on them all the time, but they’re getting on very well."
Keepers had to make the hard decision to hand-rear the pair following concerns they could die after being rejected by their mother.
Since then, Cali and Christine have been kept busy on feeding duty ensuring they put on weight.
The two chicks will be trained to the glove so that they can be used around the park to help educate our visitors.
