Witnesses say a man has been taken to hospital following a crash between two cars this evening.

It happened in Wincheap, Canterbury, at around 6pm.

A police spokesman said: "Officers are at the scene along with the South East Coast Ambulance Service following a report of injuries."

A witness reported that the crash happened close to the Esso garage on the stretch.

Its understood the accident has caused some delays to motorists during this evening's rush hour.
