A person has died after collapsing in one of Kent's busiest shopping areas.
A fire engine and multiple ambulance crews were called to Canterbury city centre at about 10.45am today, after reports a person had collapsed in the Marlowe Arcade.
A number of emergency vehicles were seen in the St Margaret's Street and Rose Lane areas of the city.
But the ambulance service has this afternoon confirmed that the patient tragically could not be saved.
A spokesman said: "Sadly despite the efforts of everyone involved, the person died at the scene."
The person's next of kin has been informed.
